Basically the The Law of Inverse Ninja Strength states that the amount of power of each mook ([link]) have decreases proportionally to the number of mooks that are togheter. So in normal comics: the more enemies togheter, the weaker they are, and the less chance of sucess.

But jerk Hawke forgot that this doesn't apply if it's not a last resource to saving someones life. Or in strategy games where lots of weak troops can eventually overwhelm you.
